Privacy Policy

How Alamo Prime Steakhouse collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit this website, contact us, or dine with us.

Effective date pending, to be set at launch

Who we are and what this covers

Alamo Prime Steakhouse, LLC ("Alamo Prime Steakhouse", "we", "us", "our") operates this website and the restaurant it describes. This policy explains what information we collect about you, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

It covers this website and the ways you get in touch with us through it: reservation links, private-event enquiries, and any email or phone contact that starts here. It does not cover the separate services of our partners, such as a reservation platform or a delivery service, each of which runs under its own privacy policy.

We are a single restaurant, not an advertising business. We collect what we need to hold your table, answer your enquiry, and run a working website, and not much else.

Information we collect

Information generally reaches us in three ways.

Information you give us
When you make a reservation, submit a private-event enquiry, join a waitlist, ask us a question, or sign up for news, you provide details such as your name, email address, phone number, party size, preferred date and time, and anything you choose to tell us: dietary requirements, an allergy, an occasion, or a seating preference.
Information collected automatically
When you browse, our hosting provider and any tools you have consented to may record technical details: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you viewed and how long you stayed. Some of this is recorded in ordinary server logs that exist for security and reliability; the rest depends on the cookie choices you make.
Information from other people and services
If you book through a reservation platform, order through a delivery service, buy a gift card, or leave a review, that service may pass us information about the booking or transaction. If you interact with us on social media, we see what that platform shows us.

We do not ask for, and do not want, information we have no use for. Please do not send us payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or health information by email. If we need something like that, we will tell you the secure way to provide it.

How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Take, confirm, change, and honour your reservation, and reach you if something about it changes
  • Respond to private-event enquiries and prepare a proposal for your event
  • Answer questions, handle feedback, and resolve complaints
  • Accommodate allergies, dietary requirements, accessibility needs, and occasions you tell us about
  • Operate, secure, and improve this website, and diagnose problems with it
  • Understand in aggregate how the site is used, where consent allows it
  • Send you marketing about the restaurant, where you have asked us to
  • Meet our legal, tax, health, and safety obligations, and protect our rights and our guests

Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on performing our agreement with you (your booking), your consent (marketing and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interest in running and securing the restaurant and this site, and compliance with legal obligations.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf (website hosting, reservation and waitlist platforms, email and messaging tools, payment processors, and IT support), and only to the extent they need it to do that work
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountants, auditors, insurers, and lawyers, under a duty of confidence
  • Authorities and other parties where we are legally required to, or where we need to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or to protect the safety of our guests and staff
  • A buyer or successor, if the business is sold, merged, or reorganised, in which case your information transfers with it and remains subject to a policy at least as protective as this one

Some state privacy laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to include advertising cookies, even where no money changes hands. If we ever run advertising tags, they sit behind the Targeting category in your cookie preferences. Switching that off is how you opt out.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser so it can remember something between pages or visits. We group ours into four categories, which is the convention you will have seen on other sites.

Cookie categories used on this site
CategoryWhat it doesCan you switch it off?
Strictly NecessaryRemembers your cookie choice, keeps forms and sessions intact, and protects against abuse. The site cannot be delivered without it.No, these are essential
FunctionalRemembers convenient preferences, such as the menu view you were last reading.Yes
PerformanceMeasures site usage in aggregate so we can see what works and what is broken. Not used to identify you.Yes
TargetingWould allow advertising partners to measure our advertising and show you relevant ads elsewhere.Yes

At the time of writing we run no analytics or advertising tags on this site. The Performance and Targeting categories are declared so that the controls are already in place if that changes. Nothing outside Strictly Necessary is ever loaded unless you switch it on.

You can change your choice at any time on our Manage My Preferences page, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Your choice is stored for twelve months, after which we will ask again.

Your choices

Cookies
Set every category yourself on the Manage My Preferences page. You can withdraw consent as easily as you gave it.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of your personal information, and our non-essential categories stay off unless you turn them on yourself.
Marketing email
Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and we act on it promptly. Unsubscribing does not stop messages about a reservation you have actually made.
Text messages
Where we send reservation texts, they relate to your booking. Any marketing texts require a separate opt-in, and you can stop them by replying STOP.
Your information
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you (see the next section).

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. We extend them to every guest who asks, wherever they live, because drawing lines between guests is not how we want to run a restaurant.

  • Know and access: ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
  • Correct: have inaccurate information about you put right
  • Delete: ask us to erase information we hold, subject to records we are legally required to keep
  • Opt out of targeted advertising and of any sale or sharing of your personal information
  • Opt out of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects (we do not do this)
  • Non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently, or give you a worse table, for exercising any of these rights
  • Appeal: if we decline a request, you may ask us to reconsider, and we will respond with our reasons

Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and a number of other states have comparable rights under their own laws. ⤳ CLIENT: confirm with counsel which state regimes apply to this business.

How to make a request

Email privacy@alamoprimesteakhouse.com or call +1-214-555-0142 and tell us what you would like us to do. We will confirm your identity first, usually by writing back to the email address or phone number we already have on file, because we are not going to hand your information to someone else who asks for it.

We aim to respond within 45 days. If a request is complicated, we may take longer, and we will tell you why before that deadline passes. You may use an authorised agent, in which case we will ask for proof that you authorised them.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as it is doing a job. Reservation and enquiry details are kept while we are dealing with your visit and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can handle questions or complaints; marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe; financial and tax records are kept for the period the law requires. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous.

How we protect information

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, among them encryption in transit, restricted access on a need-to-know basis, and vendors chosen partly on their security posture. No website or system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Children are of course welcome in the restaurant (this is about the website). If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Visiting from outside the United States

We operate in the United States and information you give us is processed here. Data-protection law in the United States differs from the law where you live. By using this site and contacting us, you understand that your information will be handled in the United States as described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do changes. The effective date at the top tells you which version you are reading. If a change materially affects your rights, we will say so clearly, and where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent again rather than assume it.

Terms of Use

The terms on which this website is made available to you. Using the site means accepting them.

Effective date pending, to be set at launch

Accepting these terms

This website is operated by Alamo Prime Steakhouse, LLC. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Using the site

The site is for your personal, non-commercial use: to read about the restaurant, view menus, make a reservation, and get in touch. Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, access parts of it you have not been given access to, scrape it at a scale that degrades it for others, or use it to send anything unlawful.

Our content

The text, photography, menus, logos, and design on this site belong to us or to the people we licensed them from, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not republish, sell, or build a competing service on them without our written permission.

Menus, prices, and availability

Menus and prices shown here are indicative. Ingredients, cuts, and pricing change with the market and the season, and the menu in the dining room is the one that governs. Please tell us about allergies when you book and again when you sit. Our kitchen handles allergens but is not an allergen-free environment, and we cannot guarantee against cross-contact.

Reservations

Reservations made through a linked platform are subject to that platform's terms as well as ours, including any cancellation or no-show policy shown at the time of booking. ⤳ CLIENT: confirm the cancellation, deposit, and large-party policy to state here.

What you send us

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or photographs, you give us permission to use them in connection with the restaurant without owing you payment, and you confirm they are yours to give. Please do not send us anything confidential through this site.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of anything harmful. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. ⤳ CLIENT: confirm with counsel, including whether an arbitration or class-action waiver clause is wanted.

Changes

We may change these terms. The current version always lives at this address, and the effective date tells you when it took effect. Questions: privacy@alamoprimesteakhouse.com.
